Does Haggett have a lot of freshmen?

my bad if this has been asked a lot, but which dorm is hexagon shaped? and is that dorm pretty normal besides it’s shape? lol

nevermind… i looked it up, it’s haggett

BTW. I was pretty much set on living at lander, but terry seems pretty good too. which is better location wise? distance from the ave? etc? any insight is welcomed.

@uniseeker about 50% are freshmen

@ilikeuw Terry and Lander are connected, so there’s no difference in location.

1.Hagget
2.McMahon
3.Lander

probably going to put

1-McMahon
2-Steven’s Court
3-Poplar
4-Terry

Thanks for the response. Btw, I was looking at the descriptions of the dorms on the UW housing website and I thought it was pretty strange how all the halls have ethernet cables for all the rooms, except for Lander? What’s the deal w/ that?

I’m almost positive every dorm has Ethernet. Read this:
http://www.washington.edu/itconnect/connecting/reshall.html

It makes a specific reference to Lander, meaning it does have Ethernet just like the others…maybe you were reading something outdated?

I feel like an idiot for not having decided yet haha!

Dunno what to pick, but probably Hagett/McMahon, then Lander/Terry. Interested in the International Community for some odd reason.

I suppose I still have about a few hours to pick before it opens and every one starts rushing :)

I wonder if very many people will apply RIGHT AT 4:00. a lot of my high school classmates didn’t even know it opened today…

Wow, so many people must be signing up right NOW (7PM my time, 4PM Seattle time) because I can’t even get on the website!

yep, it’s super slow right now.

Yeah. Plus when I click the application link, it just auto-downloads some file which I can’t even open… :S

The time you submit it does NOT matter for priority, only the date. Just to clarify.

“The housing application is experiencing technical difficulties and is not currently available. We expect the application to be available on May 6. Students who apply on May 6 will be given the same priority for assignment as May 5 applicants. Please note that only your application DATE is noted, not the time it is submitted.”

^

Heh that’s nice to hear, especially when you’re in UTC+8 versus their UTC-7 :(

Still deciding on confirmed choices so I may just pick them later. Personally prefer a quieter and more laid-back location than anything else. Hate loud parties and people barging into rooms ):<

You’re better off in North campus I think, maybe even Hansee.

Perhaps. :)
