Fow far is everyone on their Princeton application?
I am working on the shorter essay and hunting down teacher recs, but otherwise I'm pretty close.
Two weeks left!

AHHHH two weeks!!!! I didn't realize it was that soon!!!

My application: Filled out all the basic stuff. need to ask guidance counselor about a few details. Teacher recs are off I believe. Secondary school report/GC rec has been sent too. To do: polish essays, then muster up the courage to press "review and payment"!

Just submitted it today! A friend and I pressed "submit" buttons together (she to Vassar ED, me to Princeton) and it was so emotional! It feels so weird to be done, but such a relief, too. I was lucky to have a GC who dealt with the teacher recs and everything else, too, and is sending all of the paper stuff in one package. Yippppeee...time to celebrate (and wait and then wait some more)!

Haha that is awesome. But i feel like the second after I submit the application I'll be overwhelmed with impatience. I am not a patient person. December 15th seems so far away...

Oh yeah- after you submit it, when do you get to see the status of the application? do you get to use your PIN number?

teacher recs are already sent, counselor rec is already sent, and im finishing up essays this weekend...basically, im on par with you kraor143 haha

everything ready... teacher and counsellor recs are on their way...yet i feel something's missing! i'm reading and re-reading the whole application everyday!! i think i'm gonna do the 'click' thing for my application and finaid application only on October 31st...

Am I the only one submitting on paper? I am making sure it looks all pretty and then sending it off in the mail. (I will type it, of course).

I am actually kind of far behind...I still have the supplemental essay and the engineering essay to finish. Two weeks left....aaaaah!

I too am using paper, JTC. However, it seems as though I'm the only one who is 100% done and mailed!! Yeah, me and my guidance counselor put absolutely everything in an envelope wed. and mailed it.

I'll do it on paper as well.

Quite behind (currently building up a blood reservoir for the print) but it'll finish in time. Gonna have to write one more essay (either a 500 w or a 300 w and the extension of the 300 w essay) and improve all the short answers.

I'll be so happy when it's ready - maybe I'll take a photo, just in case.

Teacher recs should be sent by the end of this week I guess tog. with the secondary school report. But it won't be pure waiting: I need to take the Sat IIs in November - so there's something left to do.

Does anyone know whether or not you will be able to see the decison online and if at which time?

I finished all of the application except the essays.

I wrote the two required essays, but I'm not very satisfied with them. I'm still finding my "best approach." Other than that I need to finish my optional info form and ask my teachers to finish my recs.

I am almost done here.

BUT THERES ONE THING BOTHERING ME LIKE CRAZY!! I do many volunteering stuff, but I don't know where to list them!! Should I list under the ACTIVITIES/INTERESTS, or under the WORK EXPERIENCE DURING ACADEMIC YEAR section???

I am very confused.

i put them under activities/interests

Thx hope.

Im also wondering if we have to send the EXACT number of Hours???

Like send an official report from the hospital, etc?

Because the application does not specifically ask for such things.

def not b/c then they would expect a copy of every award you got and every little thing you mentioned on your application-i called them to ask about sending a transcript for some colelge courses that i took. THey said it was up to me-they trust us.

Progress!!! Now done editing long essay and writing the short one. Ahh, it's going to be unpleasant reminding my teachers YET AGAIN about the recs!

I need to revise both essays...then I'll be done!

Does anyone know if there is a date that the application must be submitted by to receive an interview?

the date of submission doesnt affect interviews. After they read your app. if they want to know more about you, they will contact an alumnus to meet with you. this is all after Nov.1, obviously

Is it really just if they want to know more about you? I thought everyone got contacted for an interview, as long as there's an interviewer close by.

I agree with btlesgirl...the alumni interviews are mostly informational, and don't significantly alter your chances, unless they are amazing or horrible.

yeah btlesgirl is right. last year 90% of applicants got interviewed. More significantly, how good/bad your interview doesnt matter either.....
