blasphemy, ochem > pchem! haha. do undergrads regularly take 200+ courses in CoC?

Year(at the time of taking the courses): Junior
College: Chemistry
Major: Chemical Biology

Classes:
Chem 103
Chem 15
Phys 7B
Bio 1A (no Lab)

Unit Count: 13

Notes(if any): 8AM everyday :/

Year (for Fall 2011): Freshman
College: L&S
Major: Undeclared, but planning to do Psychology

Courses:
Psych 1 (3)
Integ Bio 35AC (3)
Astron C10 (4)
Russian 1 (5)
Music 142 (2), hopefully, need to audition
Phys Ed 3 (0.5) Swimming

Unit Count: 17.5

Notes (if any): It’s pretty random, I know. I’m just exploring my options during my first semester. 17.5 units seems like a lot for freshman year, but since most of my courses are stuff that are considered “easy”, I should be fine as long as I don’t slack off, right?

Year(at the time of taking the courses): Freshmen
College: L&S
Major: Math

Classes:
Math H54 (4 units)
Math 55 (4 units) just got off waitlist…pretty excited
Philosophy 12A (4 units)
History C187 (4 units)
Rhetoric 24 (1 unit)
Poli Sci 179 (1 unit, p/np only)

Unit Count: 18

Notes(if any): got an 8am everyday and will probably end up taking 1 class p/np if it becomes too much work. i got into every class i wanted, at the times i wanted, so i am quite happy with this schedule

Interesting, from what I know about Pchem, Ochem, and Ichem,
Pchem > Ichem >>>>>>> OChem, hahaha.

Year(at the time of taking the courses): Freshmen
College: L&S/->Hopefully Haas
Major: ECON + UGBA

Classes:
UGBA 10 (3)
STATS 21 (4)
CHEM 1A (3)
PSYCH 2 (3)
NST 10 (3)
GEOG 70AC (3)

Unit Count: 19

Notes(if any): Taking 2 Haas prerequisites and 4 breadths. Although its 19 units I still believe its manageable since the breadths are relatively easy courses, might P/NP 1 class if i get below an A.

But quantum is fun! In terms of research, however, I agree. I think ochem would be more suited towards what I want to do, but pchem is kinda like for funsies.

I don’t know if undergrads regularly take the 200+ courses, but I know a fair amount of them who do. My entire senior year will only be grad courses…since I’ll be done with all my chem. degree requirements a year early lol.

Yes, inorganic is really interesting and cool too! But 104A ruined me.

104B violated me I wanted to face palm myself every time I did a problem set…

Since you’re a ChemE, DON’T take these courses =P

Haha my current research is actually on inorganic catalysts for water oxidation, so I’m planning on taking 104A and B probably in my junior year. Are they really that bad? I’ve heard decent things from people I’ve spoken to.

They aren’t that bad; I just didn’t like them .________. but I still think inorganic catalysis is pretty cool haha

@singh: are you by any chance in the Arnold group?
@Spontaneity: I suck at anything related to physics or formulae, so… yeah. Quantum kills me. Definitely not looking forward to 120 series.

I did some ochem research back in high school, but while it was fun, I’d rather try something different. Like applications of organometallics for example. Boundary of ochem/ichem really interests me.

I’m not in the Arnold group, are you? I just looked them up and their research looks really interesting.

EECS, 3rd year, but technically a sophomore since I’m a spring admit.

CS162
CS188
EE122 (waitlisted)
UGBA 196

Year - Freshmen
Major - Undeclared but thinking about Psychology or IB.

Classes
Anthropology 3AC
Psychology 1
Math 16A
Latin American Studies 10
Maybe a Decal or the SLC class that helps you with Math16A

unit count: 14
Notes: I might get Fridays off if I don’t sign up for the SLC class :D

Year (for Fall 2011): Jr

Unit Count: 19

Notes (if any): I hope I don’t die ._.

@crowslayer: 1st section. You’re working 196?

^ yeah as a reader

Year (for Fall 2011): Freshman
College: L&S

Theatre R1A (Dance/Movement)
Registered Theatre 60/Auditioning Theatre 10
Int Bio 24 (Birdsong:))
PE 1 (Weights)

Unit Count: 15.5

Notes (if any): auditioning for theatre 10, but if I’m not accepted, I’ll be taking theatre 60 instead.

^ what are you going to use for your audition for theatre 10? I always wanted to audition with something random like [I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even put a stopper on death - YouTube](<a href=“I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even put a stopper on death - YouTube”>I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even put a stopper on death - YouTube)

I knew what scene that was just by reading your link, haha
