post your financial aid stat here!!!

if you know anybody (including yourself) who’s in college right now. please post their family’s basic financial situation (such as income, mortage, etc) and their estimated college expenses (tuition, room, food, etc.), and most importantly, $ of financial aid they recieved. thanks I know this might not seem directly relate to college admission, but think aboutu all the acceptees who can’t go to college cause of financial problems. $ matters for college “admission”

Haha...that's so much effort and I don't think people will be comfortable with posting their families' financial status.

ummmmm....do not think so....what is your purpose....its is actually kind of creepy, no offense

I think crazyforee just wants to size up the expected amount of money she'll be getting for financial aid when he/she goes to college by knowing some other people's financial aid figures. Not too creepy, but I'd only be comfortable with giving out my EFC and the aid figures I'd get

You can find tons of fin. aid estimators online - just use one using your own info, that will give you a good estimate.

Do you people know of any financial aid estimators for non-Americans? I'm a Canadian, and so most of the estimators have questions that are irrelevant to me.

i know it might make some ppl uncomfortable of giving their private information, but it's not like i know any of you, iamhung was right, i just want to compare my family's financial situation to others who already got financial aid from out of state colleges. anyawy, :)

first of all thare are so many variliables under the surface tha go into putting together a financial aid package. But you must also realize that families may have other underlying issues that you are not privvy to and they feel no need to discuss with you.

If my family and your family has the same income, it still does not mean that we are going to get the same amount of financial aid because there are just too many variables . My house might be worth less than your house, my family may be sending 5 other kids to college, I may have a parent with a catostrophic illness, or my parents may be responsible for taking care of other family members, parents may be retired, etc, etc,
