Chem - 800
USH - 780
Math II - 770

The chem score was a pleasant surprise; however, I’m going to retake Math II for a 800.

Those with 800 in chem - what did you do?!?

@dancer13 - I really didn’t do anything special to prepare for chem. I’m in AP this year and I’ve had an A+ for the entire year with an excellent teacher so I wasn’t particularly concerned about intensive preparation. I just took a sparknotes practice test to get accustomed to the format.

so do you think a lot of the 800s are from ap, and if so do you think that looking at an ap test prep book could be in any way helpful?

I actually think using a prep book for the subject test would be more helpful. For example, I have Barron’s prep books for both AP Chem and SAT II Chem; although both were hardly used, I thought the SAT II book was more helpful because it (a) introduced the format and better imitated the difficulty of the actual test questions, and (b) was much more succinct the AP prep book included a lot of extraneous information not even included on the AP test much less the subject test.

Math II - 700 (probably going to retake. was hoping for a 750+)

Barron’s questions aren’t exactly representative of actual SATII’s, so if that’s what you’re looking for in a prep book, get PR. Barron’s is better for review because they cover everything comprehensively and give some more difficult questions to make sure you fully understand everything.

AP doesn’t really help that much, other than History maybe. I took AP Physics C this year and it really didn’t help for the SATII because I still had to learn a lot of random material on optics/waves/etc. And the mechanics/e&m on the SATII were nowhere near the level in AP Physics. So if SATII is all you want, don’t take APs (although you should still take them ^_^).

Ya AP Chem didnt really help…it actually tauge me too much info…I forgot all the basic descriptive chem info.

However, APUSH defiently helped for SAT US. And the Sparknotes website’s list of terms really helped because there are plenty of questions that dealt directly with a specific term.

Bio M-780. solid

all u ppl who got 700+ on the us history subject test, r u guys all in the ap class?

^well cant speak for others but I am…
However, you dont need to be. My friend got a 750 without ever haven taken a single AP History class (so obviously not US).

800 in chem :)

■■■ i think i have to take all my sat ii’s again. if not, at least the bio m… UGH!

so if i have this straight - ap chem book would not be helpful, use barrons for review and pr for practice tests?

US History- 770
Math 2-780

780 APUSH
750 Chem

I am really, really happy about Chem. That is seriously 150 points higher than I thought I was going to get. For me, that test was so BRUTAL.

Biology-E:770
Math 2C: 780

I have to retake Math… >_>

^^^ Why do you have to retake a 780 in math? ^^^

I’m in honors US History and I scored a 670. Not an omgamazing score, but higher than average. I’m happy!
