<p>Oh yeah, Steele does have reviews there....all of which are VERY BAD. It seems this guy can't teach at all. Luckily, those reviews are all based on higher-level math classes, so hopefully he can teach basic Calculus.</p>

<p>It's "Steele" on ratemyprofessors, not "Steel." Maybe it's a typo, but it's written as "Steel" on both the online schedule and math department website. I doubt they would make a mistake. But maybe whoever entered him into ratemyprofessors made a mistake?</p>

<p>I finally got off the waitlist and into Math 1A with Haiman, who is apparently really good! I'm pretty happy.</p>

<p>unlimitedx, it seemed to be my only option of taking a course related to my major.. and people on this message board have indicated that it should not be a problem taking them concurrently as 1A and 55 are totally independent.. Do you reckon it'd get too hard taking 55 in my first semester?</p>

<p>No. 1A and 55 are completely independent from each other. You have nothing to worry about.</p>
