Post Your Senior Year Schedule/Classes!

Hey guys. So, I'm going to be a senior in college and thought it'd be cool to see what other fellow seniors are taking this fall.

I can see how people would think these threads are "pointless" but I'm curious to see what classes other people with different majors are taking. BTW, I'm an English and Economics double major.

I'll start:

ECON Money and Banking (SO excited)
ECON Intermediate Micro Theory (had to withdraw last semester :/)
ECON Game Theory (has anyone taken this before? Kind of nervous)
ENGL Chaucer (dreading this but the professor is great)
ENGL Irish Lit since 1939 (LOVE Irish culture)
EPSY RA Class :)

My classes run MWF 9:05 am - 12:05 pm, Thursday 11 am - 1:45 pm and Tuesday 11 am to 7 pm with two 1 hours breaks.

ECON Intermediate Micro
ECON Intermediate Macro
LAW Business Law
MKTG Marketing
MGMT Management
MUSC Rock Combo (<—I get to play hard rock in band!!!)

My only late class runs from 8:00-:50 pm

There’s also an upper division class that I’ve been considering called Stress Management where I get to take naps, listen to music, blow bubbles, and play with play-doh… Of course, it happens to be one of the hardest to get into, haha. :P

Wow, that class sounds really cool, lol.

What’s your major?

MATH Real Analysis
MATH Numerical Methods
PHYSICS Mathematical Physics
PHYSICS Thermal Physics

Calculus(non AP)
AP Lit
AP

Calculus(Non-AP)
AP Lit
AP Bio
Economics
Marketing(S1)/Business Law(S2)
Syracuse University Spanish
Project Adventure(flying, climbing, and team building awesomeness)
AP Music Theory
Band

Also self-teaching AP Micro/Macro with a friend

Fine Art 102 - Introduction to Dance (Should be a breeze, taking it with a few friends to satisfy a Gen Ed)

History 230 - Early Modern Europe (Very hopeful for this one)

History 300 - Global Film as History (With my favorite professor, a few friends, and great subject matter. Heck to the yes.)

Professional Physical Education 450 - Coaching Practicum (Actually doing the practicum part right now and will be done by the time the school year starts. Coaching is tiring stuff!)

Psychology 202 - Human Sexuality (Rawr)

Psychology 306 - Social Psychology

Going into my fourth year, but kind of cheating a bit. I plan on staying for a fifth year (personal choice, not failing or anything) so I’ve got lots of time to stretch out my course load.

Looking at everyone elses…some of the economics and english classes look good…I pity the fellow with the math/physics.

Writer1992 Business Economics haha, so our majors are probably very similar

Yes, Stone. I’ve always wanted to take B-Law but idk if I can fit it into my schedule. It seems so interesting!

Kinda OT - Are you seniors ready for the “real world”? I’m totally not.

Let me see…

Modern British Literature

American Literature to 1920

Financial Strategy

Operations Technology/Information Technology

Legal Environment of Business

Astronomy Lab

Sounds about right for a Finance/English double major.

I think my quarter of those math and physics classes will be fun, actually.

Am I ready for the real world? Kind of. I’m tired of being in school that’s for sure. It’s weird feeling disconnected from the people around you. All this YOLO and SWAG stuff was not what I grew up with and I’m 23. I’m torn between attending graduate school or going into the job market directly as an actuary. So it’s living on a (<=13K) stipend a year as a physics master’s student working some full-time programming job at 50K with little upward mobility and teaching at the same time at the university. Or it’s 54-64K starting salary as a full-time actuary and could make significant pay increases in a few years. Decisions, decisions.

IOE 425 - Lean Manufacturing and Services
ME 335 - Heat Transfer
ME 450 - Design and Manufacturing III
ME 587 - Global Manufacturing

I’ve been working since January. All I want to do is get BACK to school

ANG 107: Animal Genetics
Lecture: MTWR 10-10:50AM
Discussion: F 10-10:50AM
Lab: T 12:10-1PM, 1:10-2PM (apparently we get a 10 minute break)

ANS 142: Advanced Captive & Companion Animals
Lecture: MWF 11-11:50AM
Discussion: F 12:10-1PM

PHY 7B: Physics
Lecture: M 7:30-8:50AM (there’s another one at 9am, but that one clashes with ANG 107, which is only offered during fall quarter and I really need that class to graduate in winter)
Discussion/Lab: MW 4:40-7pm

STA 100: Advanced Statistics
Lecture: MWF 2:10-3PM
Discussion: T 3:10-4PM

24.970/24.992 - Grad Semantics or Grad General Survey (Still not decided)
21F.611 - Russian I, for fun
9.20 - Animal Behavior
9.57J - Language Acquisition
14.02 - Macroeconomics
14.30 - Statistical Methods in Economics

Six courses is an unusually high load at my school, so I might take 14.30 as a listener. I expect Russian I, Animal Behavior, and Language Acquisition to all be really easy though, so maybe taking 14.30 graded will be fine.

America in the 60’s (last humanities gen ed)

Research methods (psych)

Speech pathology, writing intensive

Health services management and economics (pub health)

Senior project, topic in public health biology

And 1 cred - kickboxing I take every semester haha

@Writer1992 - Ready for the real world?

Ha.

Hahahahaha.

hahahahahahahaha.
hahaha.

No way Jose.

British Literature I
Contemporary Adolescent Lit
The Bible and Its Interpretation
History & Memory
Of Wolves & Myths

A lot of you are taking econ classes! Makes me happy :)

CalDud, both seem like very good options. Good luck on making your decision!

Soprano, OMG. Class before 8 am? I don’t know if I’d be able to do it.Ama I did have physics MWF at 8 am one semester and that wasn’t too bad but still. I suck at getting up early.

Millancad, I wish I had room in my schedule to take a language. That actually looks like a very tough schedule, what’s your major?

Amandarin, America in the 60’s sounds really groovy. (or is that word from the 70s? Oh well!)

Rebeccar: all your classes seem really interesting. I’ve taken Brit Lit and Teen Lit and loved them. What’s your major?
