Invited to Gator Engineering @ Santa Fe
In state
Computer Science
GPA 4.72 W 3.77 UW (non UF since I don’t know how to calculate that)
1440 SAT, 32 ACT
Top 30% at my school (very competitive with more ap classes available to students that aren’t in the music program I’m in)
Only have 4 APs not including the five I’m taking senior year, but I have circumstances to explain it (major surgery that didn’t go very well and didn’t receive much-needed accommodations until the end of my sophomore year). Might file an appeal if possible?
Pretty good ECs
Music (lots of time dedicated, 13+ hrs a week), lots of programming stuff, did research with the army during the summer, Questbridge College Prep Scholar, placed in science olympiad with SNHS charter at my school.
Only 75 hrs of volunteer-work
Essay was pretty good.
I feel like I just didn’t put enough time into my Coalition App. I spent a TON of time on my essay, but I didn’t know how to navigate the platform at all. I was mostly used to Common App and my profile on there is much more complete. I feel like if I spent more time on it I would have gotten in without being in the program. I also wish I just auditioned for music since I’m fairly certain I would’ve gotten in that way as well. Congrats to everyone else who got in!
