I plan on handing one of my teachers my envelopes tomorrow, but I don't know how much postage I should put on a 9x12 envelope with just 2 sheets of paper inside. Does anyone know?

My daughter used the white 9x12 envelopes from Office Depot. She put two 39 cent stamps on them and they all appear to have made it to the colleges. We originally weighed the envelopes at the Post Office with about 5 pieces of paper in them and they still only needed two stamps. Good luck!

bump...can anyone else confirm this? I am sending some stuff out tomorrow and my mom said she'll take it to the post office, but I kind of want to know now.

Yea I had only put one 39 cent stamp with only three pieces of paper in the 9*11 and they sent it back saying they needed 13 cents more on postage..
so put two stamps on

I gave mine in with two stamps. I had my mom weigh the envelope with 6 or 7 pieces of paper in them and it only totalled 63 cents. Two stamps will be fine.

I did mine with a 39 and 24 cent stamp. I don't think they've been sent yet, so I'm just hoping they'll go through.

When I mailed the same envelope with 2 sheets and 2 envelopes with one sheet in each (1.50 oz.) it was 63 cents within the US. Another envelope had 2 sheets and 3 envelopes with 2 sheets in each that was 2.20 oz. and it was 87 cents, also within the US.

Aw man, I need to go buy more stamps. :(

okay...

7 envelopes had 2 sheets of paper in it...
1 envelopes had 4 sheets of paper in it...

what are the chances that all of them well be returned back? my guidance counselor was like "oh, just put one stamp" BLAH... i used brown envelopes... 9x12...hmmm

lol, they'll probably come back.
