Hello, CC.

I am a post-baccalaureate student attending Austin Community College pursuing prerequisite credits to transfer to UT Austin for a BS in Computer Science because I am interested in the more theoretical concepts of computers and I believe that the opportunities as a UT Austin computer science graduate would be much greater than the degree I have earned, whether it be pursuing a masters in computer science, participating in research, or maybe a career in software engineering.

My bachelor's degree is in Technology Management (w/Business Administration minor) from the Texas A&M College of Education. My plan is to transfer to UT Austin in Spring 2015 because I am a UT Austin employee and would qualify for Staff Educational Benefit (100% tuition & fees paid).

My overall GPA is a 3.4, which is lower than normal to get accepted into the College of Natural Sciences. However, many of my classes which I struggled in are business classes, but I aced nearly all technical classes I took. I also have about 3 years of professional IT experience and have a few certifications. I plan on declaring CONS as my 1st choice school and College of Undergraduate Studies as my second choice school. What would you say are my chances to get into the UT Austin College of Natural Sciences?

Also, if there's anything else helpful you'd like to add to this thread, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
