Postcard from Admissions

Did anyone else receive a postcard from an admissions officer in the mail? Today I received a handwritten card that said something along the lines of "Thank you for your humorous optional submission, it really made this admission officer's night! If you have any questions contact me..." I think this is a good sign, but maybe they do it to everyone as a courteous gesture?

Sounds like a 'wink letter' to me...congrats!!
Yes, its a very good sign :)

Yes, very good sign.

You might also take this officer up on his/her offer to contact with questions. If you do, mention the postcard and your optional submission. Such an interest could REALLY work in your favor.

I got a postcard too, regarding one of my essays...do you happen to be a college scholars nominee? I am, and I'm wondering if one is sent out to all CS noms?

No, I am not a college scholars applicant. Is that the scholaship that is only open to students from a select list of schools? If so, my school isn't on the list. I sure hope that was a "wink" letter, but it seemed kind of early for that to come out already (mid January).
