I've been reading some related threads about putting postcards inside the envelopes that enclose your teacher rec.
It sounds like a good idea, but can anyone explain the details 'cause those threads were from yearsssss ago, so I'd like an update.

Thanks always :)

I’m applying this year. When I made the addressed envelops and cover letters for my teachers, I paper clipped 4 x 6 index cards to each which said “X College has received the recommendation letter from Y teacher”. It had my address, the college’s address (as the return address) and a stamp on the blank side. The writing was on the lined side.
I’m not sure if I did it correctly, but it seemed logical at the time. I used index cards because I already had a stack, and I wasn’t entirely sure where to find postcards.

You should be able to buy postcards that already have the correct postage on them at your local post office.

@notan_oxymoron: really, an index card? wow, didnt know you could do that.
@happymomof1: thanks, i’m considering doing so.

ANOTHER QUES:
what else should I write on the postcard, aside from the return & mailing addresses?
