We’re fortunate in that our counselor likes to keep records; geekson took a request to each of his teachers, who then submitted their letters to the counselor, who sends copies along with his transcripts and her SSR form to each school on geekson’s request. One nice big packet with everything in it, which makes it easier on the admissions staff.

If you are working with each teacher and the counselor separately, the teacher or counselor should mail the letter. You shouldn’t see or touch it, assuming you’ve waived your FERPA right to review it, which is recommended.

I’d suggest you give each of them the form, a pre-addressed/stamped envelope, maybe a brief introduction to the school you’re applying to, and a stamped postcard addressed to /you/ that they will include in the envelope. The postcard is for the college admissions staff to send back to you so that you’ll know they’ve received the letter. Optional, but can give you some peace of mind and/or alert you if a letter has gone astray.

10000 tonn Thankyou geek_mom
