Does anyone know if one has a photobucket account if it is possible to post pictures on this sight? Is that a no-no?
Thanks
xxx,Mary Anna

Mary Anna,

I was able to bring up the picture. Is that you? If so, you look quite a bit like Julie Andrews!!

Sue aka 5pants

I have never seen photos actually appear ON the message board. I'm not sure if that can even be done. But you surely can post a link to some pictures. I copied that address into my browser and got that picture. Is that YOU? If so, you are VERY pretty and I agree that you have a likeness to a youthful Julie Andrews!
Susan

Goodness gracious. How did you all do that?!?!?!

I was hoping to post pictures of my students so we can all meet up at Unifieds in Chicago. I want you all to meet, and especially my NOCCA student.

Mary Anna,

How nice to have a face to go along with your name. I must agree with 5Pants and SoozieVT, you do look quite a bit like Julie Andrews!

At first I thought it WAS a picture of Julie Andrews! :)

OMG - you should enter a Julie Andrews look-alike contest.

5pants, how did you create that link????

Susan, when I copy and paste to my browser I get nothing.

I was hoping to post pics on this board, but I would settle for a link, if you will tell me how that is done.

Is this permitted? I don't want to break any rules. I couldn't find anything about it on the rules and regulations info.

xxx"Julie"

Mary Anna,

See the hyperlink I posted in message #6? That is what you place in the message box on CC and then post like a regular message. Generally it begins with http: and will end with the type of file or document you saved it as (in this case you saved it as a .jpg). Notice that all website links are shaded blue....it will automatically turn blue when posted.

Hope this helps you.

I really don't think there is any possible way to put an actual picture onto the message board. But like I said, I think you can post a web address or link to where the pictures are. I think this is allowed. Linking to other websites is not but this is just to some photos. I think that is fine. Some people create a profile for their name and while I have never done that, I think if you create one, you can post links in your profile to your homepages or photos, stuff like that.

When I had pasted what you put in a previous message above, I only pasted the part that started with "http" (the beginning of a web address) up until the "jpg" (the end of the web address) and put it in my browser, and voila, that worked. But 5Pants typed the address into her message/post and when she typed the actual address of your webpage, it turned into a blue web "link" automatically when it was posted. When turns to the blue writing, people can just click RIGHT ON the blue link in the post and be taken right to the photo page without pasting any address into a browser.

PS.....I think of myself as techno illiterate but even I am helping on this, wow. In any case, we all love your picture

Mary Anna - This may be a stupid question, but did the students' parents give the ok for you to post their pictures? I'm sure that you asked that first, but I just thought I'd throw that out. Lots of times kids will be fine with something like that, but their parents might not be too thrilled. I think it's great for you to have your beautiful picture, that way parents can find you!

Lynn, that is not a stupid question. :)

Not a stupid question at all. Remember, I am a parent, too!
Thanks for your concern.
Of course, I will not do anything improper with regard to my students. I was more concerned with the rules of this board.

Great shots...just wondering what the NET drama auditions are?

North East Texas Drama are consortium auditions held the Dallas area. About 30-35 colleges attend and about 200 students audition.

Mary Anna, did the girl you have Cristina go to Interlochen? I'm almost certain it's the same person who was in my cabin in 03 as you live in Dallas and she did...haha small world

OMG!!!!!!!!!! Yes!
I will tell her. She rarely reads this board.
What a wonderful discovery!

This is exactly why I am posting pictures. Won't it be fun to hook up with old friends and make new ones?
We all need one another.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. If you want to PM me, I can give you Cristina's email address.

What auditions are you going to be attending?
