I am sending my ACT score from an exam which I took in March 2015 today to UIUC. The school’s website says that their priority deadline is November 1 and that all materials must be postmarked or received by then. I think that the score will probably be received by Nov. 1, but in case it doesn’t, what does postmarked mean? If I send it today does that mean that it is postmarked with today’s date?
Sorry for the double post
Postmarked means the day it was mailed. When a letter is sent the post office puts the date on the stamp.
@“Erin’s Dad” I am sending it today online. Does that mean that it is “postmarked” today. There is not letter stamped by a post office.
Postmarked means postmarked – by the Postal Service. If you are sending online, it will be received by the date sent (unless something gets royally screwed up), but it will not be postmarked.
@AboutTheSame Thank you. I was just wondering because I heard that ACT scores, even when sent online, tend to take a few days to reach the school for some reason.
