postpone FWS?

Can I postpone my FWS classes to possibly sophomore or junior year?

Don’t think so…

From [Course Enrollment - First-Year - New Students - Cornell University](http://newstudents.cornell.edu/first-year/courses/:)

A First-Year Writing Seminar (FWS)
New students are required to take at least 1 First-Year Writing Seminar. The First-Year Writing Seminars, administered by the John S. Knight Institute for Writing in the Disciplines, offer 100 different courses each semester through more than 30 departments. While the subjects may vary from cinema to ancient history you will be expected to write. Enrollment for FWS is completed through a balloting system.

Yes, you can.

I had seniors in my FWS.

Depends on your college. HumEc specifies that it must be taken as a freshman; I don’t know about other colleges though.

Is it possible that upperclassmen have the option of enrolling in FWS’s, but all first-years must enroll?

I really have no idea, lol. It just seems strange to me that you can postpone a seminar that’s really meant for freshmen.

i think upperclassmen MAY enroll in FWS’s, but freshmen MUST enroll in at least one FWS
you can call your college or department to get a better idea
