I have registered for the November SAT I but I don't feel ready for it. I'm in 11th grade and an international student and I had already taken my SAT Subject Tests (Math 2 with 800 in June and Physics 800 and French 750 in October; I'm not retaking, that's the best I can do in French).
Now, one week away from the SAT I don't feel all that confident... I've only done about 4 SAT full tests so far, and the essay is making me highly nervous (it is not exactly the way I'm used to write...It looks to me like an overly example-based pattern and that makes me very insecure; I'm more of a "philosophical" writer). In the practice tests I've taken so far I took in between 2050-2270, but the real stuff can never be fully practiced.
Unfortunately, I'm sure there's no way I'll be able to take an SAT any sooner than May, because I'm into many Physics competitions and they're just about to start, so my winter will be rather reserved to those.
I'm almost sure that I'd retake the SAT in summer anyway; when I registered from the very start I only meant this nov SAT to be practice, yet now, as I see those good scores in subject tests from the first try, I wouldn't like to bring next to them a lower score...
On the other hand, the fee for postponing it makes me regret my rush 2 months ago...
What do you think I should do?

Take it…then if you are not happy with your score, take it again when you can.

Why not take it in November, then if you’re not happy retake it in May/June/October/November/December? I would advise against taking it more than 3 times, but you’ll have the opportunity to repeat it twice. You can even do both the repeats in your senior year if you’re applying RD.
