If you're postponed, do they update your status online to inform you of their final decision? Or do you have to wait for that to arrive in the mail?

Also, does anybody have a clue as to how long (roughly) I'll be waiting to find out my fate on the postpone list? I hate having to make deposits at another school that I might not enroll in if UMN works out (and yes, I am aware of refunds).

Hey de la v,
Yes, it seems they update your status online first to inform you of their final decision then send the letter. It is really hard to know how long you will have to wait but they have to let you know before 1 April for sure. When you are postponed it means that they think you have what it takes to succeed at the U but it is just that they have more students applying than places for them. You are still in the running though so all the best of luck!!

Yeah good luck to you too! I feel like I've gone all out on the amount of stuff I've sent them.

I sent in my transcript when I applied and then for some reason it didn't show my ACT from last June so my high school sent a copy and they put in under transcript. Then I sent a transcript with my 1st term grades. At semester, I also sent in a transcript. I had pretty good grades so far this year though with a 3.7 1st term and 4.0 2nd term.

* ACT Assessment taken December, 2006

I've also been talking with an admissions counselor every couple weeks or so. I can't really think of anything else to do besides the waiting game.

Hi again de la v , Do it! It cannot hurt you
- that is for sure! Tell the counselor that you want to attend the U etc... They are interested in admitting students who really want to attend the U. If you are one of those students then you need to let them know. It can't not hurt you and may even help. Good luck!!!!!
