I believe decisions for the Goodnight Scholarship will be available at the end of this week (beginning of Febuarary). How is everyone feeling? I wish there was more talk about the Goodnight around here. I know many people are applying to the Park, but I just wanted to see if anyone wanted to speak about the Goodnight and provide some insight Out of the pool of applicants, 100 continue to the interview and then 50 receive the scholarship!!
Hello, @Wien2NC!!! I am nervous to receive the decision!!! Confronting failure has been one of my greatest emulations. I believe the decisions will be available through e-mail (the same one to where you received your invitation). I am nervous but being a Park Finalist has also made my anxiousness and anticipation of failure (or success?) to be divided right now. So, I’m not too relatively nervous per se. I’m from Johnston County. You?
you’re a Park Finalist? i would think you’ve got the Goodnight in the bag. my son didn’t even make semifinalist. We are Pitt County.
he has always said he would not get it, but i have always said you certainly won’t if you don’t apply. i am encouraging him to pursue the Chem Engr / Paper Science Engr double major b/c i have heard there are some massive scholarships available for PSE majors. that way he should get a large award either way, and if he does get the Goodnight he can always switch to another type of engineering later.
@mcdaytx@Wien2NC Well, today is the big day! Good luck to everyone and all of your sons/daughters! Hopefully we will all make it to the interview! The Goodnight Scholars office opens at 8am so some time around or after that is when the decisions may come through.
@mcdaytx Congrats!! Would you mind to share your son’s stats? Also, AGI if you don’t mind? I am grateful enough to be an alternate! I was below the minimum $30,000 requirement so I was pleasantly surprised to get this far!
