Hi everyone!
I was recently accepted into The University of Rhode Island’s 6 year PharmD program. As a high school senior committing myself to pharmacy school for the next 6 years is terrifying, but exciting. I’m just worried that I won’t be able to handle the classes. I don’t consider myself someone who is natrually smart as i often get stuck on hard concepts and it takes me several hours of studying to finally get some of the concepts. I took AP chemistry as a junior and managed to get a 3 on the exam, but I struggled in that class. I’m not afraid of hard work as I study probably about 4 hours daily and was able to juggle that with working 20 hours a week and participating in sports. I’m just afraid that my hard work and studying will only take me so far and I will reach a point in my studies that I am unable to understand and succeed. So any advice from current PharmD students would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
