I'm currently a sophomore with about 67 credits and a 3.6x GPA. I'm taking classes this summer, but might drop some of them to reduce the amount of credits I'll be applying with. Also, given that its probably too late to transfer for next fall, what would you recommend I do? Should I take the semester off and prepare for the Spring transfer or just take classes? I wouldn't mind, but I'm worried that having too many credits will make me an unattractive candidate.

Just to reiterate:
3.6x GPA (strong upward trend, got a 3.9x last semester) w/67 credits, will probably be 73 since I'm currently taking 2 summer classes that are almost over. I can probably drop the other 3 I was planning on taking though.
