I'm currently a freshman at Saint Louis University, but I plan to transfer to a different school for next fall. My top three choices of schools at the moment are Northwestern University, DePaul University, and University of Illinois. Northwestern is my reach; I applied for freshman year and didn't get in (if anyone has any advice about that, I'd love to hear it). However, I would be very happy with DePaul. The only thing is that I've heard many people say that Depaul isn't very generous with financial aid, especially with transfer students. As for University of Illinois, money isn't really the issue since I'm from Illinois; I'm just not sure how easy it is to get in as a transfer or if how hard it would be to get used to such a big school as an incoming sophomore.

Basically, I have a few general questions/inquiries....
-If anyone knows anything about how difficult it is to transfer to these schools and what it entails, please let me know.
-Also, if anyone's familiar with the financial aid/scholarship processes with these schools (especially DePaul), I'd also like to know about that. I don't think getting into Depaul would be the issue; I just want to know that I'd be able to afford it.
-Any transfers out there-how difficult is it to switch schools after a year? As much as I do want to switch schools, the idea makes me a bit nervous sometimes. I just want to make sure that making friends isn't impossible at a new school!

Sorry for the novel-if anyone can answer any of my questions or has any general advice for transfers, it would be greatly appreciated!
