<p>is it true that UCLA won't be requiring Stats as a major req for Fall 08 transfer applicants?</p>

<p>Pretty sure that you don't. Community colleges don't have a stats class that would be the the equivalent to UCLA stats according to my transfer sheet.</p>

<p>Yes it does, there are 2 types of stats... Calculus based stats and regular stats. For majors such as communications, the statistics at CCC's will fulfil it, however for majors like Economics, you need to take calculus based statistics. Liberal arts majors always get away with the easy math requirements :(</p>

<p>Here is the Poli Sci major sheet taken from Orange Coast College. Under UCLA, there is no Stats equivalent that can satisfy that area. Maybe it's just OCC that doesn't have that class. Check with your Community College to verify.</p>
