Potential

For those of you who are smart but lazy is a very bad combined personality.
Use that Potential!! If not,you will regret in the future.

I know what you mean. If only I had known what I know now... I'm totally screwed for college admissions.

Too late. I am already screwed.

I officially overcame my laziness yesterday :D

I get bursts of motivation here and there. Otherwise, I'm lazy.

pffft I'll overcome it the day before an assignment is due XD

I HATE kids at school who want to be perceived as both lazy AND smart. "I didn't do my homework, but if I had I could have finished 7 chapters of the text book before I literally tamed a two headed shark....on land."

I look at kids like that and feel pity; I have no idea why anyone would want to be perceived as time-wasting. Doing a 10 page essay the day before it's due is not cool, it's stressful and usually not very good.

I know there are some people who want to be perceived that way, jadpd, but I think the majority do not. I know I, at least, have struggled throughout my school career with procrastination and such, while scoring quite well on tests, standardized and classroom. I have always wished it were easier for me to work efficiently, and I am definitely a bit wary about entering a college in the fall that is known for having workaholic students (though in every other way, I am very excited!!!).

I agree that people who do the things you described are annoying...I have encountered several of them myself. But I also wanted to point out that not all "lazy but smart" people are that type.

In the same vein, it is not so easy to change as the OP is implying...few people are lazy just because they want to be.

Haha I understand procrastination! But it's generally something I'm ashamed about lol

I'm probably one of the most lazy kids i know, but i work pretty quickly so its not too big of a deal. i do most of the hw in the morning but i get to school pretty early

Wish I'd seen this SOONER. (I'm such a slacker and one day, I'll have to learn my lesson.)
