Potterite Pride and Prejudice Princetonites!

I am creating this thread to make sure none of you forget our Pride and Prejudice party when we all arrive at Princeton in the fall (I sent in my card this morning! Woohoo!)

So here's who I have so far:

September is a loooong time from now, but we need to stay in touch! My screen name is periwinkle1492. Feel free to provide your own :-D

YAAAAAAAAY! Omg, pastariffic, one of my best friends gave me an Easter present today that is....

THE NEW P&P ON DVD!!!!!

Yessssssssss. We are SOOOO set for our party. This baby's going to Princeton with me... and so are you! Congrats on the card send-in, I can't wait to meet you in September!

SN: isiazz
email: isiaj1@hotmail.com
Myspace: isiaj1
(I know, I get so creative with those screen names)

My name's Isia. Go figure. It's Polish. I'm from VA. I can't wait to find out more about all of you!

So it's tea with scones, marathon watching, and... what else, ballroom dancing to spice things up? :)

I must've posted my sn like four times already on other threads, but it's sno3w.

Pastariffic: it's great to hear that you finally decided on coming! If for no other reason, the Princeton Potterite Pride and Prejudice Party (5 P's in a row! w00t!) is simply too wonderful to miss.

Isia: wonderful birthday present drools

Easter, not birthday.... that is JUST how much my friends spoil me. Hahahahaha.

I'm going to miss them a lot next year... though with people like you guys there, I think I'll make plenty of wonderful new friends, hehe.

And hell yes, we are soooo going to dance a minuet at the 5PParty.

Whoops. Sorry 'bout that. But presents are always fun.

Yay!! Hooray for isiaj1. I haven't seen Pride and Prejudice, so maybe we'll all watch it together! :) I have Potter 4. I like it so I'm bringing it with me. :D

Ooooo yes. Any way we can combine Potter and Austen is down with me. Maybe we should have tea and butterbeer.

On second thought, that sounds kind of gross.

And bookfreak, what do you mean maybe? Hahahaha. We SO will!

isiaj1: lol. HOoray!!! Potter and Prejudice movie marathon! :D

Darn it. I have Calculus class right now. :( P^5 sounds sooo much better.
Oh Calculus, the day I rid my life of you is the day I'll be very happy indeed. (Add P^5 as well, and my life will be complete!) :D

Er ... tea and ... pumpkin pasties?

I've rid Calculus from my life by not paying attention in class anymore, and it is SO liberating ...

AND I JUST GOT THE BBC PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AS A LATE CHRISTMAS PRESENT ON EASTER!!!!! I'm so excited! I need to watch it ... as soon as humanly possible ...

Isia, it's great to ... er ... meet you ... I'm Claire, and I live in Indiana.

I'm getting rather depressed because my very best friend is going to school in California, so we'll just have to comfort each other. And um ... what are tea and scones if not comfort foods?

Is Pride and Prejudice the big thing for the Princeton Class of 2010? :D Over at Yale, it's Harry Potter mania for the Class of 2010. The Harry Potter thread on our admitted students site is many, many pages long.

This is a combination of Pride and Prejudice AND Harry Potter! Isn't that fantastic? Amazing how many of us future Tigers just happen to be obsessed with both ...

Haha, I know!

Good to "meet" you too, Claire. Don't worry, we'll comfort each other plenty. I'm from an itty bitty town where I've had the same friends since 1st grade, and I'm not gonna know aaaaaaanyone at Princeton, so we'll use up plenty tea/scone comfort food.

How funny that we both got P&P movies for Easter! Hahahahaha. I'm all for a BBC marathon too, I haven't watched that version forever and Colin Firth is, after all, my husband.

Oh yeah, didn't you all know? I'm married to Colin Firth.

I kind of hoped I'd be at school with no one I knew, but it since my brother goes there and a friend of mine might be going, I'll have a bit of a support base. Not that they'll be very useful. So I'm still counting on you all! Almost all of my friends are going to Notre Dame, cause most of us are faculty brats, but I escaped the Catholic school vortex of death and I'm breaking out into a NEW WORLD ... (note: I am still Catholic, but gosh, Catholic school is the sort of place that encourages most free-thinking kids to rebel).

And hey! I would claim Colin Firth for my own, but after all, I'm kind of too young for him, so ... I'll just pester you for an autograph every now and then ;-)

I have the full HP set AND the BBC version of PP, so just let me know which ones you guys aren't bringing... I s'pose Mom could part with a couple DVDs for a semester. ;)

Isia: maybe we should add Bridget Jones (which I also have) to the mix just for the sake of..., er, lengthening the time we get to watch him, or broadening our PP affinity into parodies. And I'd also like an autograph, please ;)

Erm. Don't bash calculus. It might not be as fantastic as P^5 (but then, what is?) but it's still got its yummy pieces.

Btw, I'm Y. in Mexico City. Nice to meet all of you.

Oh, Y, I admire you so much for finding any part of calculus yummy. I really do. Some of my dearest friends are very fond of it as well. But I hate it with a burning, seething passion. It has made miserable so much of my senior year.

However, I do find Bridget Jones to be an excellent choice! Three cheers!

Yeah, a whole thread just for us! :D

I got the new DVD for Easter as well, and I watched it today. sigh I guess you guys can claim Colin Firth if I can have Matthew MacFayden. I haven't watched the BBC version in ages! I love Mr. Darcy...But anyway, before I get completely wi****ll...

I can't wait for our party! I wish we could learn some of the old dances. Has anyone seen that NetFlix commercial that has the Jane Austen-esque characters dancing completely wrong? Annoys the heck out of me everytime I see it.

I must go, I'm technically on vacation with my family. Can't wait for September! More later.

EDIT: I can't type wist-full??

AAAAAAHhhhhhhhhh harry potter and P+P! This school is a dream come true.

Anyone ever see Bride and Prejudice? I did and I laughed the whole time.

lol "w i s t f u l" has "s t f u" in it

I haven't seen Bridget Jones either am I seriously deprived?

My 300th post!!!!!!!! My rank has been changed from "junior member" to "MEMBER!!" wOOT!

I saw half of Bride and Prejudice! It was soooo odd ... and I particularly loved the way they kept going in for a kiss ... and then she'd tuck her head under his chin or something. EVERY TIME. My friend Neehar says this is an Indian movie custom, but it was so confusing.

Bridget Jones is something that you must see if you enjoy people with British accents saying ridiculously funny things. Which most Austen addicts do enjoy.

And hey! It's always good to see another joining our ranks, peachykween! whispers we're having a party in September ...

wi****l
