Power Cords - Dorms

S moving in this weekend to RCS-N. What power-type cords/supplies are needed in the dorm rooms to hook up TV, video game console and laptop? This was probably addressed somewhere in the past but I can’t find. Just trying to buy as much up here before we leave as possible so he is up and running when we leave him.

A power strip for extra outlets is a good idea. Having an ethernet cord is also extremely helpful, as the wireless will go out once in a while in the dorms, and it always happens to be when you have a big assignment due, of course. You need a coaxial cable to get cable on the TV. Just the basics, really, the same things you would need at home.

You need a co-ax cable for each TV. There is one Ethernet port per bedroom. If you want to hook up more than one device to the internet you need a switch and one Ethernet cable from the wall to the switch and another Ethernet cable out of the switch to each device you want to connect. If you have a printer, a printer cable. A wired connection is faster and more stable. I’d wire as much as you can (as opposed to using a wireless connection).
