<p>well after talking to EE guidance counselor about future EE job prospective , many jobs are being created toward power due to renewable energy and analog circuit designers are increasing in demand. What I hear is that it's really hard to get your foot into the door for power engineer since most companies want someone with skill rather than just hire new college graduate. </p>
<p>Does digital design jobs have more opening in the future or is it more toward power and analog/RF? I am currently junior and worried about whether will I land a job after college at this point. Even though many other countries' economy seem to be getting better but US job market is still slumping unlike other countries. I have studied more toward digital design and hoping to get a job in VHDL / embedded software jobs. CS major seem to be still in high demand so thinking of switching more heavily toward java / database area instead. Has anyone heard otherwise about job market for EE?</p>
