I'm looking into taking a course over the summer. Does anyone have any thoughts about either company, any personal experiences to share? I've noticed some basic differences between course set up and stuff, but I don't really know how they are different. I'd like to know so I can decide which is the better comany for me to sign up with. Thanks everyone!

I haven't taken either of them, but the general consensus here as well as on every law school site I visit is that they are essentially the same in terms of methodology and "tactics"; however, the Powerscore bibles are truly the most beneficial thing in terms of LSAT preparation.

hey they are pretty similar and the techniques they use are the same. Choose the cheaper and more convenient one!

I know Powerscore has the reputation of having the best LSAT prep books around, but I've heard conflicting views about courses. Some say that that's where Testmasters shines... BerkeleySenior, have you taken Testmasters? How much of a boost did it constitute in your score? I plan to maximize whatever resources the course I sign up for provides, so I am really hoping it will help me improve a lot. Is there much difference in price? I know how much Powerscore costs, but not Testmasters... Thanks!

i took TM. To be honest while the instruction was good, I think it's based more on self-study.

I loved the books though. They divide up each question type so it's easier to target your weaknesses.

My first diagnostic was 163. My actual LSAT was 172.

I think TM recently increased its price...
TM Is 1450, Powerscore is 1195.

I did not think PS was worth the money, the course that is. i took it last summer... first diagnostic scored a 156, and scored a 154 on my lsat. embarassing eh? i also think it was nerves on my actual test score, but i think the material was beneficial for PS but not the instruction at all.

i'd go with TM if i could do it all over again; in fact, i may just be doing it all over again...
