If I am already majoring in PPE, would it make any sense to double-major with IR?

To add to this... is it plausibly possible? I was thinking about double majoring in poli-sci and IR

I know double-majoring is possible and even with PPE... at least that's what the FAQ site says. I'll see if I can double major PPE and IR and minor with something. If not, then maybe PPE and double-minor.

both are 16 credit majors (high in the college) and even more so, both or interdisciplinary studies. so it wouldnt make sense to combine two combination majors. youll have trouble finding a focus or 'concentration' in one major to start with. and you definitely want to have a focus in interdisciplinary studies to market a specialty and to actually know a little more about one thing rather that a little bit about everything...

bottom line, just choose one.

PPE if you like theory and want to do law/politics
IR if you actually want to know lots of hard facts and want to go into Phd/government service ....

Would you recommend staying away from PPE if you are interested in business? Would econ probably be a better overall choice?

i see wat u mean mengcheng... well for a start i got roughly 4-5 credits from AP and Pre-College that I can claim so... maybe thatll ease the inflexibility and even allow me to minor... but guess ill have to discuss this with an advisor.

that's why im the best kqi.

make sure you begin pin pointing an area of passion. (American law, poly sci theory, diplomacy, Asia, Europe) see which program best fits that. and then start diving as deep as you can while still following ir or ppe

so in sum, you're telling me to go beyond requirements and majors and revolve my education in one theme? Interesting...

pick one theme while you are following an IR major

All hail mengcheng, patron saint of IR
