Thanks alot.

Now I'm curious............Are there planned activities for the weekend? Or should I say, 'required activities' for Plebes/Families? Are Plebes allowed off the Yard? Have heard different takes on past PPW's & varying degrees of Plebe freedom over the couple days. Any heads up is appreciated! :)

For reference, look at the material that has been published by USNA in reguards to PPW for the Class of 2010. You can search at USNA.edu:

or go to this parnets club site where some of it has been collected:

Thank you for the info.

Just always keep in mind that things can change from year to year.

USNA will send you information towards the end of July with all the information for the Class of 2011. Some items on the list of "things to do on the yard" your Plebe may not want to do...lunch in King Hall being one of them. Mine did not want to...just wanted to get off the yard, go to a "real" restaurant and sit on the entire chair! Had to respect that request as much as mom would have liked to do the King Hall thing.

Profmom2, you can always request to go to King Hall with your Mid anytime. My son took his granddad to lunch on a Thursday last year as a birthday present. I also think guests are allowed on Wednesday nights. You Mid just has to square it with his higher ups. Plus, there's always FPW

I'll tuck that info away, thanks. We are fully intending on letting our soon-to-be Plebe take the lead for the entire weekend. My husband told me that he spent the majority of his PPW asleep in his parents hotel room! Poor Baby..........

^^^Wanted to add, he says he HAD to sleep most of PPW because he was SO exhausted. <insert sarcasm=""> 'Cause as you know, back then, "Plebe summer was really hard." <me rolling="" eyes,="" him="" smirking=""> !LOL!</me></insert>

Yep pretty much describes our Sunday. Almost surreal...the three of us spent an entire day in one room...We just watched him sleep and talk on the phone!
