PR/Marketing.. UCLA? or?

<p>My heart has been set on UCLA for a long time now and I'm now applying. I want to major in marketing and also public relation since I am aiming to working in the PR world. The problem is apparently UCLA doesn't offer either majors and the closest it has is Business Econ. Now I know UCLA extension offers marketing and PR but I'm slightly confused and unsure about what exactly is UCLA extension? </p>

<p>Anyway, does anyone know what other universities in the SoCal area (or other areas. I'm open to all options) have a great program for what I'm aiming to consume a career in?</p>

<p>If anyone knows what I can do or should study in in order to get into the PR world, please let me know! As I said my heart is set on UCLA so if there's anyone out there who went to UCLA or ANY OTHER SCHOOL and ended up working in the marketing/PR area please share your story. </p>

<p>Well i did a little research on pr… i wanted to look into it as a possible major. communications is probably the major you should be looking for, this or marketing. but comm majors usually involve or include tracks such as pr/advertising, film/media, etc etc. so look into communications programs or media studies. one of the best programs -but i think its graduate level- is NYU. btw, theres an article in an online pr mag that comments on the awards for best pr programs…
