This is wierd, whenever i take a practice test at home i average 1600-1800 but when i go take the PR test i get like a 1400-1500, do you guys think that maybe it was that i was distracted when i took the PR test or something like that?
thanks

Where are you going to take the PR test? Are you doing PR tests at home too?

no i am taking in a classroom. i think i realize what i am doing wrong. whenever im takin the test at the PR place, i get distracted and i cant concentrate but when i take it at home i am 100% concentrated.

me too.

for the Official Book Practice Test, my average is about one wrong for math. And i often have 4 or 5 extra minutes to sit there and doing nothing. Weirdly, i took a Princeton Test in their offered test location and did not even finish all the math questions.

And my average is about 200 lower for the Princeton Test.

Basically i would say that Princeton just make the hell of question as difficult as they can, so that you got a lot wrong which will give decent
chance for us to sign up their SAT classes as opposed to make them easy in which everyone would do well

oh thank god....

Ok, i have been studying like mad....unfortunetly i started late (Feb) for the April 1st test....but quality of quanity right?(let's hope- i study everday for 30min-2 hrs a day, not counting practice tests)

I have been taking PR tests and not scoring as high as i would liek, in fact i have gone down a little in writing. I bought the blue book, but i am scared to take one of it's tests b/c if i do bad i know i am doomed, and if i do good i am worried i will feel liek i dont hav to study as much.....any suggustions???

are the PR tests actully harder than the real sat?

wow 2011!!....thats exactly the thought process i went through...i took a few PR tests nd i did ok but not great...i got this blue book nd its sitting here nd im scared to take it cuz if i do bad on that tehn it really cements the fact that im in trouble.....i guess since someone else is doin the same thing as me i can give it a shot nd see wat happens...haha

lol..yeah i am a 'scardy-cat' let know what u find out...and if i rack up the courage i will let u know!

The blue book is very comparable to the actual SAT. This makes sense, considering nearly all the blue book questions are taken from old SAT exams and molded a bit into the new SAT format. So, the questions in the blue book should be similar, but the blue book scoring scale presents too big of a range to accurately predict the exact score. Also, there are several variables that may affect your score on exam day, so use the blue book as only a rough predictor of your score and don't let it psych you out one way or another. Just use it to improve the most that you can and do your best.
