<p>The Official SAT Study Guide, Second Edition is the best book. It has 10 practice tests written by the College Board, and explanations for the questions are online. </p>

<p>Three of the tests have charts that tell you your exact score (because these were actual administered tests, so the curves are determined), but the other seven only give ranges. Use <a href=“http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf[/url]”>http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/SAT-Released-Test-Curves.pdf&lt;/a&gt; to find the average historical curves instead of using the College Board’s ranges.</p>

<p>Thanks! Is the writing section like the PSAT on each of them since you can’t grade an essay yourself…</p>

<p>They have essay prompts, but I just skip those and grade myself as if I got a 10.</p>
