Practice tests from 97-2000? Are they worth doing?

My dad just got a bunch of old SAT books his friend gave him and they are The purple book (which is new) and this red collegeboard book called 10 real sats (excpt theyre from 97-2000). Is it worth doing these practice tests that are old or should i try doing the most recent ones? or all? (if i have time)

As far as I know, the new SAT format is not so different from the old one. I too have old and new tests and do all of them. I personally think that the pattern ETS uses in making these tests is the same.

The format of the SAT, and, to a lesser extent, the content of the SAT changed in 2005. However, as far as math goes, the multiple choice questions in the 10 RS book are very good for additional (secondary) practice.

even the way the math questions are structured differently. If you have no other official material left and you still need extra practice, the SC and the passages may be useful. See for yourself.

edit: i mean for not timed practice
