Okay, so I've taken 3 practice tests thus far and these are my scores

Red Book #1: 29C: 30E, 31M, 29R, 25S
Red Book #2: 30C: 32E, 32M, 29R, 26S
PR #1: 28C: 29E, 30M, 28R, 24S

In my opinion, I thought that the princeton review test was harder. I am aiming for a 32 though, should I keep doing the PR tests even though I may not do that well?

that’s right, PR is a little bit harder than the real thing

yeah, that sounds fine.. do the rest out of the PR book, and then do the last Red book test to see how PR helped you out

yea because it’ll prep you well i think PR is the closest to the Red Book… Kaplan tests are a bit harder also…

heres another test from ACT itself

thanks a lot. I printed that one out too. So now I will have taken 7 tests. Do you think that 32 is possible? I think I’m best in the math and english but I’m figuring out ways to improve my reading. Any helpful ideas for science?

prac tests are really all that help with science. find out what works best for you. i personally go straight to the questions but you may find others that do well with reading the preliminary information. its all about personal preference and working well with speed. your scores should gradually increase with more practice. and yes, if you continue to practice, a 32 would not be a suprise. from the evidence i have seen, most people do better on the real tests than they do on practice tests.

kaplan book has a good strategy for reading the PR one didnt help many ppl i know

just a little update.. I did the practice test at http://www.actstudent.org/pdf/preparing.pdf

C: 30; E:34, M:32, R:27, S:27

This test had a much easier curve for the english and math and a very harsh curve for the science. I’m still trying different strategies to improve my reading and science scores, but they don’t seem to be working…

I did the PR 2 test:

C: 30; E:33, M:32, R:31, S:23

I figured out a way to improve my reading, but my science score is still really low consistently. I have the most trouble with the scientist hypotheses ones. Any ideas on how to improve?

for science, i think when you first read the little paragraphes just underline the main ideas…that really helped me and saved me alot of time.

i hope that helps but i am only basing this one the one practice test i took so…
