I took the SAT in the spring of my sophomore year and received a 1860. I wanted a higher score and so studied all summer long and throughout my junior year and I began to consistently score 2100’s on the CB bluebook practice tests! But then I took the actual SAT in January and scored an 1890. What the Heck!! Can anybody explain this to me? What should I do!!??

Stop looking up the answers in the back of the book during the test.

I did not look up the answers in the back of the book! I wouldn’t be freaking out if I had been cheating! The nerve of some people.

Taking practice tests and the real test is different. You’re more nervous and prone to mistakes. Don’t expect to get the scores that you get in practice tests. Scores will vary due to the curves. Just keep practicing.

I got a 2380 on my practice test DAY BEFORE my january SAT, then I got a 2240 on the real test feel your pain completely, maybe its the nerves? oh well, thats what retakes are for!

Yeah, I guess I will retake it:/ a 2240 is still really great!!

I tend to score higher at test centers with people idk. Try taking it at another school or community college

Is there a chance that they may have scored my exam incorrectly?

It’s more likely that you scored your own tests incorrectly.
