Practice tests vs. Real deal

I've been using the practice tests from The Real ACT Prep Guide and my scores have been significantly higher (3 point increases) than my previous ACT scores. Granted, I was extremely distracted, and at a completely new school (plus preparing for a move the first time I took it) so maybe that's why I did bad. And I'm kind of in test mode after AP and the SATs. At the same time I don't want to get my hopes up.

So, what do you guys think, is the ACT easier or harder than the guide book that they give?

srry this is off topic but i am new to this website and i dont know how to make a post please help

A new thread you mean? There’s a button on the top left corner that says “New Thread”

I assume you know how to post as you just did it.

Okay anyone?

I have always done better on the actual test as opposed to the practice tests. Especially the Sparknotes online ones, which I did HORRIBLY on.

When did you last take it? If you’ve gone a whole school year or even a semester, you’ll probably improve. All the extra test taking will help you out too.

I took it in March, only a couple months after transferring, b/c it’s required for everyone in the state. I’m not sure whether I should trust these scores, but maybe I’m just being a pessimist… :)
