Are your scores typically the same, lower, or higher for the real test compared to practice test?

I'm typically better at math section for standardized tests, but i'm scoring around same level as my english/reading (just took reading, english, math, got 29 on all of them. Got a 29 on plan math portion, made dumb mistakes...)

do you guys notice that math differs a lot depending on environment or is it just me?

thanks.

If you’re referring to Official ACTs (from The Real ACT Prep Guide), then the difficulty is the same. These are just retired tests.

The feeling of increased difficulty probably has more to do with the setting you take a practice test in.

It depends what practice tests you are taking; if they are supplied by ACT, then it is most likely about the same difficulty as the actual test. Barron’s practice tests are regarded as far more difficult than the actual test (and covers some stuff that the ACT never tests on). Princeton Review is normally seen to be as close to the actual ACT as pseudo-tests go, with it being slightly more challenging.
