Pratt application question...

I'm definitely planning to apply to Duke ED, and I would really love to go into engineering. However, I'm getting worried about not taking any physics through high school. It never fit into my schedule (I took both honors and AP Chemistry instead to satisfy the science credit, since there's no AP Physics at my school).

My stats and everything else are otherwise pretty strong, I'm in NC and applying ED but I'm freaking out a bit about no physics on my transcript. I'm taking Calc BC this year, so it's not like I look totally out of it, haha.

If this is going to severely hurt my chances, I was considering applying to Trinity instead and transferring in the future, but I heard that was more difficult.

Not having physics certainly won’t help you out, but I’m inclined to think that it probably won’t hurt you very much either, especially if the reason is because of scheduling difficulties. The thing to remember is that your transcript is evaluated as a body of coursework taken in the context of your school’s offerings and other circumstances.

Finally, according to the Duke admissions website:

So not having physics isn’t an impediment to admission
