Pratt Institute Class of 2019 undergraduate early action

Just a bit of education on PrattMWP for those interested: This option is actually a great one for many students who do not wish to deal with the expense and crowds of NYC for college right away. From what I’ve researched about it, the tuition is significantly less than the main campus, the facilities are wonderful, the dorms are great, the amount of personal attention is very high given the small # of students, and the quality of instruction is the same as Pratt foundation and 2nd year. You are guaranteed a transfer to the main campus by Junior year and as well as housing if you submit your housing ap. on time. Best of all, they are very generous with scholarship money. However, it is very small, it does not offer the wide selection of programs and majors of the Brooklyn campus, and I understand there are not a lot of opportunities to get out on the town (not much of one) plus I think public transportation looked scant to non-existent. While it’s not for everyone, my D did consider it - and as a parent I liked the thought of her spending her first two years developing her art and design skills in a nurturing environment.

Good luck to you @RtotheB! Hope everything works out for you.

if anything its best to call them! that way you speak directly and its much better! best of luck <3

Should i be worried if i still have not received anything from PRATT even though i applied for early action?

@sashii96 when my D applied EA her confirmation e-mail said she’d hear something by Jan. 6th but I also noticed on their website that it didn’t specify a particular date in January. So I wasn’t exactly sure what to think about that January 6th response date! However, Jan. 6th is also the regular deadline so while this is just speculation on my part, I’d think they would want to have the EA decisions cleared out by now in order to shift focus to reviewing the Regular Action applications. If you don’t receive anything by Monday or Tuesday you should probably contact Admissions to see what the specific timing will be.

Hey! I am an international student and Haven’t heard back from Pratt either. Not sure if i should be worried.

@blahblahblah97 Same here :frowning: I mean, I got an admission decision from Pratt MWP, which I didnt even apply to! But i havent heard back regarding my admission decision for architecture to pratt.

@RtotheB I’m guessing we should here back by today. Anyways all the best

@sashii96‌ @RtotheB‌ did you guys get your decision?
