Pratt???????????

I was just wondering what Pratt School of Engineering was like.

-is it hard
-are the professors good
-is the courseload hard
-also, how hard is it to get into?

Thanks

I would like to know also. I have gotten in already though off the waitlist. Anresponse to this thread would help greAtly. Thank you! Please leave some responses.

-is it hard ** YES. YES YES YES YES YES. But this is Duke. Deal with it. Everything's hard.**
-are the professors good ** I'm a freshman = can't really say about Pratt alone. In Pratt, I've had one or two great ones, and one terrible one. Overall, I haven't been too impressed with professors' teaching abilities in Trinity classes, but they are all very nice people who have been very willing to help me outside of classes.**
-is the courseload hard ** Depends on how you study and how much effort you put into the hw...For me, I do all the work and study pretty thoroughly so yeah, I have a lot of work every night.**
-also, how hard is it to get into? ** Personally, I think easier than Trinity, especially if you're female, but that impression might just come because the kids from my hs who apply to Duke have strong math/science backgrounds and thus get into Pratt more often than Trinity. I think the numbers also say Pratt has a slightly higher acceptance rate, but I'm too lazy to find those stats...Basically, if you think you might like Pratt, apply and don't worry about the numbers.**

Overall, good luck deciding. Pratt's amazing and I've never seriously regretted my decision (sure there are those math tests I walk out of and decide I'm switching out - NOW, but it's never serious and things always work out). It's a lot more humanities-friendly (lets kids in Pratt take humanities classes more often) than most other engineering schools, which really makes me happy.
