Pray for New Orleans!

CC Family:

Please pray for or at least keep in mind the city of New Orleans and its surrounding areas.

The monstrous hurricane this is heading their way (Hurricane Katrina) is a historic and potentially catastrophic storm that is irresfutably bound to inflict devastating winds and rains on the area.

As it stands now, Hurricane Katrina packs winds of 175 mph, making a category 5 (maximum) hurricane, with wind gusts reaching above 200 mph.

The National Hurricane Center (NOAA) predicts that the majority of the city will experience unprecidented damage, and that the below-sea level region will be under water for weeks.

I was just in touch with a friend of mine in New Orleans who is Princeton-bound for the Class of 2009. She has evacuated to the state of Mississippi, but has left behind her home and belongings. There are millions just like her.

Yeah guys! Its not really bad here at Tampa FL but I can only imagine there!

Yea my heart goes out to them. They say that many people will be without power for atleast 2 months there! Its horrible. One of my friends from Harvard this summer is from NO, and I have yet to call him since I have no power either (im in a cc library). Anyways,I really wish the best for them, and my prayers go out.

I feel pretty bad for my friends who enrolled at Tulane. One was on campus for 2 hours when she had to pack up and drive all the way back to Dallas when NO was evacuated!

New OR-lands! HAHA who says New Or--leans

I feel for them
