i am panicking right now. everyone on this website is so nervous, and then you find out they have 4.0 gpa and a perfect sat score.

whatever happened to the B student, the middle man? :(

haha i just spent like twenty minutes crying after realizing that i applied to schools like penn state and syracuse with a GPA of 3.2 and a 1790 on my SATs.

I feel like thats not good enough for anyone anymore.

if you have a gpa higher than 3.5 please dont be scared. you are so, so lucky.

thanks so much you guys.
really quick... these are the schools i'm applying to:
northeastern
quinnipiac
unniversity of delaware
rutgers
marist
penn state
syracuse
uconn
are these schools way out of my league? sorry to be annoying but im the oldest in my family, so i have no idea what the hell i'm doing.

A nice way to start is to go to Princeton Review and plug in your stats and information. You will get a list of Reaches, Matches and Safties. Good luck.

it's really difficult to say without knowing what kind of classes you took (regular, accelerated, honors) but assuming you are out of state to all:

I have a 3.11 GPA and 1780 SAT and was deferred from Northeastern, so do well your first semester!
As for Quinnipiac, I think that you can get in. Syracuse is definitely possible if you didn't apply to Newhouse.
As for the person who said to check Princeton Review, I would avoid that site. It said Yale was a match for me LMAO!

that sucks about the deferral.
i'm taking all academic classes and ap english (i took ap last year too) and i'm still taking my language if that makes any difference.

i'm also in spanish honor society and i'm a yearbook editor. i dont know if that helps.

^^from someone who has a daughter who works her butt off and also has about a 3.1 UW GPA, I can definitely say it's not because those people work harder.....strong assumption smallcollegesftw...

bri, you will be fine. I promise. I am positive you will get into at the very least one of your schools as long as you present your applications to the best of your ability. Now, go work on your applications and don't let anyone else's comments bring you down.

I'm terrified! My scores are excellent, I won't lie; I got a 2070 on the SATs, my GPA is definitely over 3.8, I'm eighth in my class, I have a whole bunch of ECs... my biggest worry is that I JUST applied last Thursday, and now I'm not sure if they'll take me on main campus. Any suggestions or input?

I wouldn't say worked harder for 3.5+ GPAs, but I also wouldn't say lucky because many do work their butts off. Good luck to all, hopefully in a month it'll be post-acceptance.
