I was looking on the common application website and couldn't find the pre-application for Dartmouth there. I have the paper version thanks to the view book packet I got, but I'd like to do it online. Is there anyway it can be done?

Sorry, the pre-application is not on-line (you have to send it snail mail)

If you go to the admissions website and click the pre-app form it specifically states:

Important: This two-page form should be completed and mailed as soon as you decide to apply to Dartmouth. Do not wait until you have completed any other forms. Make sure the application fee is attached (unless you are requesting a waiver of the fee or plan to pay
the fee online). Send to: Dean of Admissions, 6016 McNutt Hall, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH 03755-3541.

hop this helps

If you check ED on the preapplication is that binding or is it only binding ont he actual app?

I don't think you should get into semantics as to what is or is not binding (no I don't think that pre-app is binding).

The application is just what it states. If you state on your Pre-app that you are applying ED, then the school will expect an ED application from you, which you will also check ES if that is your intent and you want to be considered for Early Decision (you can always change your mind and ask that you be considered for RD)
