Pre-Business Economics?

This may be a stupid question, but i was wondering if that was different from Business Economics - Accounting Emphasis B.A.?

you have to take some prerequisite courses before you can have the full major standing. say you want to major in Business Economics with an emphasis on accounting (that's the only emphasis here anyway), you're major will be "Pre-Business Economics" for the time being until you've completed the pre-major courses (which include econ 1 & 2, econ 3a & 3b, math 3a & 3b (or math 34a & 34b), and pstat 5e. once you've completed these courses with a pre-major GPA of at least 2.85 you can petition to change to Business Economics.

to add a bit more detail, some classes are restricted to majors only. pre-anything is a place holder that means you are intending to major in the subject but haven't been actually accepted to the major yet. And until you are accepted you can't take classes that are restricted to those in that major.
