I'm choosing my classes for next year (junior year) and I want to know more about taking these two classes. I'm a straight A student except for when it comes to math (b+ average). My teacher recommended me into pre cal next year and she said I can handle ap stat but I'm not sure if it will be too much to handle? If you've taken both of these classes the same year, were they hard for you?

That is not a difficult combination. It’s a piece of cake compared to taking Calc BC and Physics C at the same time.

My son is a sophomore and he has both classes. He has no problems and they are his highest grades.

If you are a B+ math student why are you considering to double up on Pre-Calc and Stats?

BTW this is a totally doable combination but most HS students don’t have the motivation for two math courses at once.

Slightly off topic (sorry for hijacking your thread, OP) but what about a BC and Stats combination? Is it doable?

^^^by whom? what other courses are you taking? how easy do you find calculus? this is not an abstract question, or at least it shouldn’t be.

My daughter is currently in pre-calc and AP stat. Pre-calc is very easy for her, stat is just harder. For HER. The teacher doesn’t curve and there are only 1-2 kids in her class with A’s.

I must take pre cal is a prerequisite to calculus so I have to complete pre cal before taking any calculus classes:/ I’m also taking 3 other ap’s along with ap stat if I choose to do it.
