Do students who take Pre-cal over the summer miss out on a lot???

It probably would have been wiser to skip alg. 2..

It's good to skip either of the beginnig math classes. For algebra 1 though only if you're really smart should you take it in summer. The others not too hard.

the 1st half of pre-cal is a review of algebra 2 and the 2nd half is mainly trig.

Do you think I can learn all that in the summer?

The only thing is, you really need the summer to recharge your batteries before the real school year. Are you a rising junior? Is so, you'll still make it to Calc...

i did pre-cal the summer from freshman to sophomore...i got a B (it was online though, grade inflation is impossible), but i got an A in calc... so ehhh, it was okay, like someone said, its just alg2 review and some trig concepts

is it hard to transition pre cal to ap calc?

honestly, yeah... it was an A i def earned... low A the whole time, but A none the less, lol, i hope BC is cool next year!

do you have any suggestions that would have made it easier? prep book, etc?

idk, lol, i guess do the HW, i wasnt very much of a HW person... i didnt buy a prep book or anything... lol, you should def know all the sin/cos/tan of the common stuff by heart, we werent allowed to use calculators sometimes :(

Although I haven't done it I would say that the going from precalc to Calc is kind of big. Pre Calc is pretty easy. And then you go to like antiderivatives and integrals etc.
