My friend needs help on deciding which to take senior year. Pre-calculus or AP Statistics?

Pre-calc...

meh...whichever s/he enjoys more. If this friend is not planning on entering a math-related career, I would recommend AP Stat. But Pre-Calc is also important, so if possible, I would try to squeeze in both, or take a class over the summer.

I took both last year; pre-calc would probably be the more appealing to colleges, as it paves the way for actual calculus, whereas stat is easy and more practically applicable, but not useful for someone who intends to take higher mathematics. If you're looking for a flat yes-or-no answer, my suggestion is definitely precalc.

AP Statistics. No point in taking Pre-Calc b/c you can't even take Calc.

College credit for Stat would probably work better.
