This is a weird question. My daughter is attending a two week pre-college program, and in the assembly on the first day, they were told they cannot miss any classes, or they will fail. This program is not for college credit, just pass/fail and they receive a review from their professor. I am not concerned that she will fail, but she is already freaked out because they then went on to tell the students that if they fail, they will have to put this on their common app. I can’t imagine you would have to include a non-credit, summer pre-college program on your common app if you don’t want to. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure. I wanted to alleviate my daughter’s fear a little. I feel like they were just trying to “put the fear of god” in the kids, so they don’t just goof off. Anyone have experience with this.
