Pre-dental requirements?

Hello everyone! I had a quick question: does it matter where I take my pre-dental requirements? Let’s say I take it at community college during the summer rather than the college I attend year long, will it put me at a disadvantage in the admission process? I’m going to be a freshman in college next fall, and I’m an architecture major. So that means I have to take a lot more classes because my major requirements doesn’t really overlap with my pre-dental requirements. I’m wondering if I could take some of these pre-dental requirements at a community college or a college near my home when I go back for the summer. But I’m worried that doing so might hurt me in the admission process. I mean do dental programs care if I take it at another school? Anyways thanks for your help!

Many medical schools require that the pre-reqs (e.g. organic chem) be taken at a four-year school. I suspect dental schools may be the same. You can usually take all the general education requirements (English, psych, etc.) at a community college and they will be fine.

Also do you think that taking more science classes beyond what they require would help me in the application process?
